Recently I was Scrolling through the Videos in YouTube, and I Found a Video It was About Neil deGrasse Tyson. It’s not like I’ve Never Heard of
This Guy I Know Him, but after watching His Videos, I Became a Fan of the Famous
Science Man.
He Was Born In Manhattan, New York On
5th October 1958. Tyson grew up in the Castle Hill neighbourhood of the Bronx, and
later in Riverdale. His interest in astronomy began
at the age of nine after visiting the sky theatre of the Hayden Planetarium. He
recalled that "so strong was that imprint [of the night sky] that I'm
certain that I had no choice in the matter, that in fact, the universe called
me." During
high school, Tyson attended astronomy courses offered by the Hayden
Planetarium, which he called "the most formative period" of his life.
Tyson obsessively studied astronomy in his teen years, and
eventually even gained some fame in the astronomy community by giving lectures
on the subject at the age of fifteen. Astronomer Carl Sagan,
who was a faculty member at Cornell University, tried to recruit Tyson to
Cornell for undergraduate studies. In
his book, The Sky Is Not the Limit, Tyson wrote:
My letter of application had been dripping with an interest in the universe. The admission office, unbeknownst to me, had forwarded my application to Carl Sagan's attention. Within weeks, I received a personal letter...
His
Passion About Science And Sense Of Humour Made Him Most Interesting Man Among
The Astrophysics Community. Tyson's research has focused on observations
in cosmology, stellar
evolution, galactic astronomy, bulges,
and stellar formation. He has held numerous positions at
institutions including the University of Maryland, Princeton University, the American Museum of Natural History,
and the Hayden Planetarium.
Two of Tyson’s recent books are the playful and
informative DeathBy Black Hole and Other Cosmic Quandaries, which was a New York Times bestseller,
and The
Pluto Files: The Rise and Fall of America’s Favourite Planet, chronicling
his experience at the centre of the controversy over Pluto’s planetary status.
The PBS/NOVA documentary The
Pluto Files, based on the book, premiered in March 2010.
On 9th March 2014
a Show Was Launched Named “Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey”.
It Was a Hit Show, and I Think You Might’ve Heard of It And It Was Hosted By Tyson.
He Has A Channel Named StarTalk Too on YouTube. Where he Explains Various
Concept about Astronomy soo quickly That Even a 10 year Child Would Be Able to
Understand It.
What nobler thought can one cherish than that the universe lives within us all? -Neil deGrasse Tyson
This wasn’t a biography Of Neil deGrasse Tyson. It Was a
Just an Article for the People Who Don’t Know Who He Is (Kidding Everyone Knows
Him!!)…
That is it for Today. I’ll Be Back with another Interesting
Topic Tomorrow Till Then Keep Fascinating Yourself!!
